Hi All,

Come join us for a great way to kick off the year and celebrate the formal launch of AOD 2006, coming next August 4-6, 2006 in San Francisco!

On Sunday, January 15, 2006, we will have a party at the following location:

Round Table Pizza
860 Old San Francisco Rd
Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Time: 2PM - 6PM

We will have lots of free pizza, goodies, and information about AOD 2006. Come join us for an afternoon of fun, excitement, and entertainment as we take over the banquet room at this popular Round Table Pizza and show toons on the big screen TV!

Whether you are interested in just coming to the con, being a vendor at the next AOD, or staffing, this will be the place for all to get more information.

AOD organizers, staff, and friends will be at the event and everyone who would like to come is invited.

We hope to see you there!

If you have any questions, please email rob@aodsf.org

I will also be coordinating some footage for a documentary on anime and anime fans for Fuji Creative. If you are a cosplayer, please email me ASAP about showing up in costume. You MUST email me ahead of time about showing up in costume. If you don't contact me on behalf of yourself or your group, I may choose NOT to show you in the footage. Absolutely nothing distasteful, gross, or violent, including large props and weapons.

Please be mindful of the other patrons at the restaurant, and of the other people enjoying the party.

See you there!

Subject:So much exciting Anime Overdose stuff going on
Time:02:36 pm
Current Mood:excitedexcited
Hi everyone.

There is a lot of great news for Anime Overdose 2005! There is so much, I'll just make a list (in no particular order)

1) Alex Borstein is coming to AOD for a Family Guy panel. As you know, she is the voice of Lois on the show as well as a staff writer. She'll be doing autographs, too.

2) Maxmedia is attending. As you may know, they are the company that brought Wonderful Days to America orignally, and now they have gotten back with the same team to produce their own film, Sky Blue which comes out January 21st in the Bay Area. It's really exciting. We're trying to get the director to come over from South Korea, but no promises!

3) Since we have Maxmedia coming now, we are sponsored by both the Consulate General's Office of Japan in San Francisco AND the Consulate General's Office of South Korea in San Francisco. Both will be coming to our VIP reception to give a speech on the importance of animation to culture.

4) We got our stuff together for a charity auction! The auction will benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. And if someone wants to really only come for the auction but not buy and AOD badge, they can instead make a donation of $20.00 or more to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation at the auction and get access. Many celebrities and studios are already willing to donate items. Hollywood actor Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy) is donating a lot of merchandise, and so is Pixar (The Incredibles, Finding Nemo)founder John Lasseter. We also have a commitment from Blue Sky Studios (Ice Age, Robots) to donate material as well. And the list will grow more and more as each day goes by.

There are still lots of cool developments going on for AOD. One thing to keep in mind is if you plan on getting a hotel room, sooner is better than later. We plan to block a large number of rooms for convention staff, volunteer, and guest use, and we would rather that you the fans experience the savings before we do. Once the block runs out, rooms will have to be got at the full hotel rate!

Stay tuned to http://www.animeod.com for updates.

Subject:Psycho Le Cemu At Anime Overdose 2005
Time:05:50 pm
Current Mood:excitedexcited
They’re Baaack! Psycho Le Cemu will be invading Anime Overdose in 2005,
with a brand new live performance. There will be new costumes, and new
songs during this upcoming three city campaign. The 2004 “Psycho
Invasion” tour in Anaheim and Dallas was a huge success, and the
overwhelming fan response demanded their return in 2005!

PLC, a five member band, has sold out CD’s and concert halls all over
Japan since 1999. The band has stayed distinctive from other visual
bands with their consistent change of themed costumes. They have graced
covers of premiere visual and Jrock magazines, and now they are also
considered among Newsweek Japan’s top 100 most influential people.
Psycho le Cemu is a highly energetic band that is well known for their
stage presence, choreographed “Parapara”, and their interaction with
their audiences. They share the highly successful record label, Sweet
Child, with other well known acts such as Luna Sea, Pierrot,
D`espairsRay, and other up and coming bands.

Come show your support for Psycho Le Cemu, and make this tour even
bigger and better than before.

More information will be available soon, please check back for updates.

Hi from Branden! I am coordinating many of the design aspects for the con this year. In the coming months we should all expect to see our totally awesome best website in existence, as well as all manner of nifty postcards, t-shirts, flyers, and hopefully even some bigger multi-meter banners for hanging up on the walls. Also, business cards, stationary, and all that sort of stuff. It's a pretty exciting time!
